Instructions for use
- Ensure the surface is clean, firm, free of dust, dirt, oil and grease and completely dry (check the drying times of different substrates)
- Mix the product with clean cold water; 4.2 parts powder to 1 part water - until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved
- Using a notched trowel, apply the adhesive to the surface
(The size of notched trowel chosen, depends on the tile size, the surface being tiled, the profile on the back of the tile and the degree of coverage required - check out our wide range of trowels) - Comb to required bed thickness ensuring ribs all run in one direction
(Note. if fixing tiles in wet environments, apply additional adhesive to the tile reverse) - Fix the tiles before the adhesive forms a skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C)
(Note. if skin forms, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer) - Press tile firmly into the ribs of the adhesive and into position, with slight twisting/sliding action to ensure optimum adhesive contact (can be adjusted after initial positioning)
- Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between tiles for grouting
- Clean off surplus adhesive from tile face and between tile joints
