Norcros 4 in 1 Wall & Floor Tile Grout is a fine textured, polymer modified, antibacterial, rapid setting wall and floor tile grout, suitable for use in joints from 1-8mm. It is designed for use with all types of wall and floor tiles including natural stone, particularly where a narrow, fine textured joint is required. The product contains unique Rock-Tite polymeric binders, giving it enhanced flexural strength and making it suitable for use in areas where limited movement and vibration may occur, i.e. for grouting tiles over underfloor heating systems and plywood overlaid timber flooring

Norcros 4 in 1 Wall & Floor Tile Grout contains Norcros Stop Mould Anti Bacterial Fortification to protect against the build up of mould and the discolouration of grouting typically found in areas where frequent wetting, high humidity and condensation may prevail

Norcros 4 in 1 Wall & Floor Tile Grout can be used in both internal and external conditions and in fully immersed situations, such as pools. It is water resistant but not impervious to the passage of water, therefore in situations where the background needs to be protected against water ingress, the substrate must be waterproofed using Norcros Wet Seal

Key Features

  • Coverage:
FORMULA: (tile width + tile length) x depth x joint width x 1.65 (specific gravity) = kg/m2 tile width + tile length

    i.e. calculation for: 400mm x 400mm (tile size) x 8mm (depth) x 5 mm (joint width)

    (400 + 400) x 8 x 5 x 1.65 = 52800 = 0.33kg/m2 400 x 400 160,000

  • Setting time 3 hours (rapid setting)
  • Contains Norcros Stop Mould Anti-Bacterial Fortification to prevent the build up of mould and discolouration of grout
    - Ideal for use in areas where frequent wetting, high humidity and condensation may prevail
  • Ideal for use where narrow, fine-textured joints are required
  • Highly flexible (polymer modified)
  • Water resistant but not impervious to the passage of water; in situations where the background needs to be protected against water ingress Norcros Wet Seal or Marmox Tile Backer Board should be used
  • Suitable for use in fully immersed areas i.e. swimming pools
  • Suitable for use with all types of tile i.e. ceramic, porcelain, natural stone tiles
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating applications
  • Suitable for fixing on plywood overlay
  • Suitable for use on walls and floors
  • Suitable for internal and external use

Quality and Standards

4 in 1 Grout conforms to classification BS EN 13888 CG2

Instructions

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure the tile adhesive is completely dry and the open grout joints clean, dry and free from adhesive residue
  • Seal porous tiles prior to grouting with a suitable preparatory sealer – see the Tilefix Cleaning & Sealing section to identify an appropriate sealant for you chosen tile type and style
Note. If in doubt trial an inconspicuous area to check for staining before commencing

Mixing and Application

  • Into a clean pail add 1 part of cold water and gradually introduce 4 parts of grout powder (mix until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved)
Note. mix only enough mortar to be used within the 30 minute pot life of the product and if using an electric drill mixer, blend at slow speed (i.e. under 300r.p.m.)
  • Using a soft rubber grout float, apply the grout with diagonal sweeping movements to the grout joints, taking care to compress the grout into the full depth of the joints
  • Work in manageable areas and clean off any residues when the grout has begun to firm up in the joints, but before it sets on the tile face
Note. cleaning with a damp and not overly wet, fine textured foam sponge, will provide the best results. Changing the cleaning water as it becomes contaminated will also aid cleaning
  • Once the grout has set, after approx. 5 hours, any remaining grout film can be polished off the surface with a clean damp cloth

Norcros 4 in 1 Grout is a cement-based grout and as with all cement containing products, the surface may be susceptible to the formation of efflorescence/soluble salts. These salts may be removed once the grout has fully dried and cured by frequent washing with clean water or soluble efflorescence cleaner such as HG Cement, Mortar and Efflorescence Remover
