Benefits of Wall Tiles

There are a number of benefits of using tiles on your walls including:

  • Hygienic - tiles are mould resistant and wont let bacteria build up.
  • Easy to clean - we stock a range of products to keep your tiles looking their best.
  • Hardwearing - your tiles will look fantastic for years to come.
  • Moisture resistant - perfect for showers and splashbacks.
  • Stain resistant - tiles will not discolour or stain.
  • Odour resistant - unlike other surfaces, tiles will not absorb kitchen & bathroom odours.
  • Environmentally friendly - the manufacturing process means that tiles are an eco-friendly choice.
  • Cost effective - we stock a range of tiles to suit every budget.
  • Range of designs & colours - from bright colours to brick effect.

Ceramic Tiles

Wall tiles can be made from a variety of different materials, however the most common tends to be ceramic. The clay is baked to create the main body, or biscuit, of the tile, which is then covered with a glaze to create the desired colour or effect. Ceramic tiles are available in a range of different colours, shapes and sizes, allowing you to create a unique look in your home. From high gloss bevelled metro to marble effect, there is a ceramic tile to suit your wall.

Porcelain Tiles

Porcelain is another popular choice tile for walls, however it is also commonly used for floors as it is much denser than ceramic. Porcelain tiles are extremely hardwearing, as they are fired for longer than ceramic tiles. Most of the porcelain floor tiles that we sell on London Tile can also be used on the walls - but make sure you check that your walls can hold the weight. A tile backer board can be used to support heavy tiles.

Glass Tiles

Glass tiles are a great choice for walls and are available in a variety of eye-catching designs. Our glass mosaic tiles are available in shimmering silvers and beautiful blues, as well as many other colour combinations. Glass wall tiles can be used on their own to create stunning splashbacks, or with other tile materials such as ceramic. As the small glass mosaic tiles are mounted on a mesh backing, they can be cut to size to suit your project - whether it's a simple border or a vertical stripe.

Mosaic Tiles

Whether you want a full wall of luxurious glass mosaic tiles, or a more subtle strip of natural stone mosaics, we have plenty for you to choose from. Our selection of mosaic tiles includes glittering glass, natural stone, and metal mixes, in a range of sizes and colours. As our mosaic tiles are mounted on mesh backing, they can be cut to size the size and shape you need. This makes it easy to use them with other tiles, or in small and awkward spaces.

Kitchen Tiles

Tiles are a popular choice in kitchens, thanks to their stylish look and easy to clean surface. There are a number of options when choosing your kitchen wall tiles - including the style of your kitchen, the colour scheme, and which tile material you prefer. Our range of wall tiles for kitchens help you create everything from a rustic country look, to a glamorous modern-style cooking space.

Bathroom Tiles

Most bathrooms in the UK have tiled walls as they are waterproof and look great. There are a wide choice of bathroom tiles available, including metro brick tiles, patterned and textured styles, or simple neutral tiles. Adding a border or listello tile will add interest to simple wall tiles, or try mixing and matching different coloured tiles from the same range. Whether it's a simple splashback for your bathroom sink, or a fully tiled wet room, we have a fantastic range of bathroom and shower wall tiles to choose from.

Wall Tile Design

When creating your wall tiles design, think about the other components of your room. If you have a colour scheme, choose tiles that either match or complement your choice. If you prefer to change your style often, pick tiles that will go with a number of colours and styles - like simple white or grey tiles. If you are looking for something simple but interesting, try playing with the pattern and layout of the tiles. Grout can also make a big difference to the look of your tiled walls, check out our range of grout colours.

Stone Effect Tiles

Natural stone wall tile looks stunning, but is costly and requires regular maintenance. At London Tile we offer a range of stone effect tiles to help you recreate the luxurious look at a fraction of the cost.

Decorative Tiles

If you're looking for something different we have a range of decorative tiles that will make your walls stand out. Many of our tile ranges include a decor tile, that can be used to compliment the simpler field tiles, or to create a feature wall.

Brick Tiles

Whether you want to create a rustic splashback in your kitchen, or a modern loft-style look in your sitting room, our range of brick effect tiles are just what you need. From traditional red to white-washed, you can get the exposed brick look using tiles and 10mm grout joints.

White Tiles

Choosing white tiles might seem like the boring option, but when paired with coloured accessories or a strip of mosaic tiles, white tiles can look cool and modern. Using light coloured tiles in a small space can help to open it up and make it feel larger. At London Tile we have lots of different shapes, sizes and finishes of white tile to help you create a simple but elegant space.
